Pentaèdre - Single wind quintet
Very impressive!
A unique ensemble in the Quebec musical landscape, Pentaèdre explores and introduces audiences to a varied and original repertoire of chamber music from the great tradition of wind music. Founded in 1985, Pentaèdre is currently composed of five talented musicians whose technique and precision are universally recognized : Ariane Brisson (flute), Élise Poulin (oboe), Martin Carpentier (clarinet), Louis-Philippe Marsolais (horn) and Mathieu Lussier (bassoon). Over the years, the ensemble has established collaborations with renowned musicians such as Christoph Prégardien and Rufus Muller, tenors; Russell Braun and Phillip Addis, baritones; Karina Gauvin, soprano; Naida Cole, David Jalbert, Iwan Llewelyn-Jones and Charles Richard-Hamelin, pianists, while also partnering with chamber music ensembles such as the Penderecki String Quartet, the Arthur-LeBlanc Quatuor, the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet, the Quintette à vent de Marseille, the Azahar Ensemble, and Slowind. The ensemble has also performed in Canada, Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
