Stéphane Tétreault and Denis Plante - Tango Odyssey

Spirit, passion, versatility and unquestionable virtuosity

Diffusions Amal'Gamme offers you a unique concert bringing together two exceptional virtuosos, cellist Stéphane Tétreault and bandoneon player Denis Plante. For the occasion, they will provide a passionate odyssey through the universe of tango, from the Argentinian pampa to the boreal forest.

Winner of numerous prizes and distinctions, Stéphane Tétreault received the 2019 Virginia Parker Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts and has been nominated for the Ontario Arts Council's Oskar Morawetz Prize for excellence in musical performance. He doesn't often visit the tango repertoire in concerts, but what a pleasure that he is returning to it here!

Denis Plante is legendary in the national and international contemporary tango scene. He is a top bandoneon artist with a wealth of distinctions. A charismatic soloist and appreciated chamber musician, he is frequently invited to perform in orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
