Cordâme, Debussy Impressions

Incredible chemistry!

After the success of Satie Variations, Cordâme presents a concert based on the music of Debussy, whose death a hundred years ago is being commemorated in 2018. Double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux has created atmospheric impressions for strings, piano and percussion where jazz and world rhythms blend, a whole series of delicately coloured pieces inspired by Debussy's universe.

In addition to these creations, Jean Félix has created his own arrangements of several of the French composer's famous pieces. Will you recognize them dressed up in 20th century clothes? The chemistry among the musicians on the stage is palpable; this new creation will enchant you!

The performers : Jean Félix Mailloux, double bass; Guillaume Martineau, piano; Marie Neige Lavigne, violin; Sheila Hannigan, cello; Éveline Grégoire-Rousseau, harp; Mark Nelson, percussion
